38 Ash Street, Boston, MA 02111Phone number: Phone: 617-635-5129 Fax: 617-292-6599
The mission of BCNC is to ensure that the children, youth, and families we serve have the resources and supports they need to achieve greater economic success and social well-being.
For over 40 years, BCNC has served as a vital link for the Asian immigrant and Asian American community of Greater Boston. BCNC strives to provide the support and resources needed for participants to integrate into American society, while preserving the community’s rich culture. Most of those served are immigrant Chinese, with low family incomes and limited English ability.
BCNC and its eight programs have received local and national recognition. BCNC is located in the heart of Chinatown at two sites. At 885 Washington Street, BCNC is part of the Josiah Quincy School building and, in 2005, BCNC created a permanent home at 38 Ash Street, a five story community center and the first certified green building in Chinatown.

Christopher Columbus Waterfront Park
Christopher Columbus Waterfront Park, Boston, MAChristopher Columbus Park, the City of Boston’s first waterfront park, was opened for Boston’s Bicentennial in 1976. Its original design provided a framework for future waterfront park projects throughout the city.
In 1987 a rose garden enclosed by a wrought iron fence and a granite fountain were added to the park to honor Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy, who was born nearby at 4 Garden Court in Boston’s North End. In 1992, the Beirut memorial was built, commemorating nine marines from Massachusetts who were killed in a 1983 bombing. The memorial includes a circular granite-seating wall and brick detailing; if you stand in its center you can hear your echo.
Christopher Columbus Park was updated in 2003 and today includes broad lawns, a play lot, a spray fountain and performance area, a statue of Christopher Columbus, and a wisteria covered trellis that provides shade during the day and is lit during the holiday season. The park is an oasis in the North End and is an excellent place to relax and enjoy the harbor.
