Remember when we shared the good news that Americans tend to prefer drinking water over soda? This great, national trend of choosing to hydrate the natural way is only becoming more popular. First Lady Michelle Obama has joined with the Partnership for a Healthier America to explain that “you are what you drink” in the new Drink Up campaign. Boston is taking this movement towards drinking water early and often one step further and getting it straight from the tap.
If you closed your eyes and tasted a sip of Boston’s tap water and a sip of bottled water without knowing which was which, do you think you could tell the difference? Most Bostonians said, “No” in the recent blind taste test done by the Boston Public Health Commission (BPHC). Boston’s tap water is just that tasty. Check out BPHC’s video of the test to find out why your neighbors said our city’s tap water is as good if not better tasting than bottled water. Congratulations, Boston!
When we choose to drink clean city tap water over bottled water, Bostonians get to enjoy pure, refreshing water with the added bonus that the water coming from our faucets and fountains is full of all the fluoride we need for strong teeth. Plus, it is free! So, grab a glass – or eight – today.
