October fun is for everyone!

The leaves are turning colors and October is flying by but it’ll go out in style with all the fun family activities going on around Boston over the next week:

  • This Saturday: Spend the day listening to stories and learning from your favorite children’s book authors at the Boston Book Festival in Copley Plaza (10am – 5pm). Then once the sun goes down, leave the flashlights at home and join the Dorchester community for a spooky night hike through Franklin Park starting at 7pm
  • This Sunday: Bring your pooch to the Halloween Dog Parade at noon or just come for a stroll around the Esplanade to admire all Boston’s well-dressed, four-legged friends.
  • On Tuesday and Thursday: Bring your little performers to a fun, low-cost hip hop dance class for kids ages 4-8 starting at 6:30pm at the Star Dance School in Brighton.
  • On Friday (Halloween): Trick or treat through town and drop by the Central Square YMCA in Cambridge for the annual Cambridge Fall Family Festival starting at 6pm – it is free to get in on the action including unlimited bouncing in the best bouncy houses; there is no need to be a YMCA member to join in.

So gather family and friends to celebrate Halloween and Fall your way with some of these great activities or share your tips for a fun-filled October with us at Kohl’s and Boston Children’s Hospital’s Health Family Fun Program Facebook page!
