Farmers Market Produce

Each summer, farmers’ markets open up across the city to offer fresh, locally grown produce. This is a great opportunity to try seasonal fruits and vegetables with your whole family. Fresh, ripe fruits and veggies are the best tasting, too – your picky eaters might even like them!

If you live in the Roxbury and Jamaica Plain neighborhoods, there are plenty of farmers markets near you! Try the Community Servings’ Farmers’ Market in Jamaica Plain on Wednesday evenings from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. where you can get local produce from guest farmers each week. On Thursdays this summer and fall, check out the Roxbury Dudley Town Common Farmers’ Market where you can buy produce, eggs, and meat. Some markets even accept WIC coupons, Bounty Bucks, and SNAP cards! Go to the Federation of Massachusetts Farmers Markets to get more information and to find a farmers’ market near you.So head out of your house to a farmers market with the whole family!
