Microwave Baked Apple Slices



  • Vegetable oil spray
  • 1 pound unpeeled apples, cored and cut into 1/2-inch wedges
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons (tbsp.) sugar
  • 1 tablespoon (tbsp.) light tub margarine
  • 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.) ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon (tsp.) vanilla extract


  1. Lightly spray a 9-inch glass baking dish with vegetable oil spray.
  2. Arrange the apples in the dish.
  3. Cover with plastic wrap.
  4. Microwave at 100 percent (high) for 2 1/2 minutes, or until just tender.
  5. Remove from the microwave.
  6. Add the sugar, margarine, cinnamon, and vanilla, stirring until the margarine is completely melted.
